What is the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant? While your accountant is likely to focus on things like profit and bottom line with a view to sorting your financials at the end of the financial year, they often don’t take an in-depth look at what’s going on inside your business. A bookkeeper tends to be very detail-oriented and gets involved in the day-to-day running and financials of an operation. In that sense, we can add value to your business all year round by providing an external set of eyes to provide a detailed, impartial overview of where you’re at. Do bookkeepers do payroll? Yes, absolutely. KR Accounts will seamlessly manage your payroll to ensure your staff are always paid correctly and on time. How much should I pay a bookkeeper? Every client is different, with the appropriate payment based on the exact needs of the individual business. At KR Accounts, we normally charge by the hour, but can organise a monthly fee arrangement depending on the scope of work involved. At the beginning of the process, we’ll take the time to get to know your business, and discuss your ongoing needs before giving you an accurate indication of the realistic costs associated with the services provided. Can a bookkeeper do tax returns? The short answer is no. That responsibility lies with your accountant. However, what KR Accounts does really well is ensuring your accountant receives all the necessary and correct information at the end of financial year. This helps enable a smooth, speedy and efficient tax return process.

    Our Process

The process usually starts with a phone call, resulting in a face-to-face meeting. Through taking the time to really get to know you, your business and your unique requirements, we can determine whether we’re the right fit to work effectively together, and whether KR Accounts can deliver what you need.

Once we start working together, clients provide us with access to all relevant financial files. And don’t worry, if these don’t currently exist, we’ll create them for you, setting them up in a way that will best serve you and your business over the long-term.

We’ll review all financial information at the start of the process, identifying any errors and building the most current and accurate picture of your business and its financial position. From there, we’ll enter all new transactions into your system in an ongoing capacity and scope out the services you’ll need from us going forward. All relationships and arrangements are kept flexible, allowing them to evolve with your business over time.

    About Loganholme

Loganholme is a suburb of Logan City in Queensland, Australia, adjacent to the Logan River. It is positioned 30km south of the state capital of Brisbane, and 50km north of the Gold Coast. The 2016 Australian Census reported the suburb to have a population of 6,303.

The area was originally made up of three large cotton, coffee and sugar estates, which formed the region’s early industry. As the suburb continued to grow and attract more and more residents, the Loganholme School was opened in 1873 with a total of 37 pupils.

While Loganholme is predominantly a residential area, it is also known for its access to shops thanks to the retail district surrounding the Logan Hyperdome, and its numerous sporting facilities, particularly those located in Tudor Park. A second park, known as Alexander Clark Park, provides a popular space for large group events, including weddings.

A ferry crossing between Loganholme and the neighbouring suburb of Beenleigh, known as the Beenleigh Ferry, was established in the 1870s. In fact, Loganholme takes its name from a ferryman named Holmes who operated the crossing in its early years. A road crossing was later built and opened in the 1930s.
